Overview
The programme
BBA in Information Systems (IS) curriculum at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology ranges from basic concepts to complex theories, and covers diverse applications of information systems to businesses. IS students are required to take a combination of business foundation courses and technology management courses (e.g. Innovation Management, Business Analytics) as the basis for achieving in-depth knowledge.
Two options are available to IS students to suit their particular academic interests and career plans:
- Business Analytics
Focuses on developing new insights into and a new understanding of business performance by investigating past business data and using them to drive business planning and decision making.
- IS Auditing
Focuses on the profession of IS auditing, which helps client organizations examine management controls within an information technology infrastructure.
