Overview

Progress into your Sports Business Management degree with a foundation year. Immerse yourself in the business-side of performance sport, studying events, sponsorship, entrepreneurship and more. Tailor your studies to suit you and undertake a work placement in industry to prepare you for your career.

This foundation year pathway provides an alternative route into degree-level study. It’s ideal for those who need to gain subject-specific knowledge and skills in order to progress onto the full BA qualification.

The modules on the Sports Business Management (With Foundation Year) (Hons) degree from Hartpury College have been informed by industry, which means you’ll develop the business skills and experience that employers are looking for. Alongside sports-related topics, you’ll study the core principles and practice of business, including finance, marketing, leadership and strategic management.

You could find yourself running a graduate assessment centre on campus or pitching a new business idea in the style of Dragons’ Den.

You can use this to gain professional skills and experience to set you apart from other graduates.

Our excellent industry links will lead to regular trips to strengthen your learning and understanding of the behind-the-scenes workings of major businesses. We’ll also pay for you to complete an Institute of Leadership and Management qualification, widely recognised by employers across the world.
