The (Hons) Information Technology - Software Engineering at University of Kuala Lumpur applies both computer science and engineering principles and best practices to the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and evolution of software. Software engineering covers not only the technical aspects of building software systems but also management issues.

Career

The software industry has grown dramatically over the years: Mechanical and electronic devices in automobiles, airplanes, entertainment and communication equipment, and manufacturing are being replaced by software components because a software is more adaptable and can provide greater functionality. Software is used in medical, transportation and financial systems to automate critical tasks.

General requirements

Academic Documents (school certificates and transcripts). You may refer Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) guidelines for the level of programme you can apply according to your current school certificate.
First page of the passport
Proof of English Proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent for Diploma/Bachelor programmes). If you do not have English proficiency certificate, you will automatically join UniKL English Language Intensive Programme (E-LIP)
Student must complete 12 years of schooling and obtain general pass in their High School Certificate, A-levels or equivalent with min Grade C (60%) in any 2 subjects and min Grade C (60%) in Mathematics in their Secondary School or O-level.
