Overview

At (Hons) Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology - Marine programme at University of Kuala Lumpur realizing the new requirement from the International Maritime Organizational (IMO) and vast array of the maritime sector that includes electrical and electronics services, the institute had taken the initiative to develop a programme namely Bachelor of Electrical and (Hons) Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology - Marine programme at University of Kuala Lumpur with the support from shipbuilding and ship repair industrial experts.

Career

Prospective undergraduates will be offered courses/subjects in five sub-areas namely:

Electronics System
Electrical & Power System
Instrumentation & Control System
Communication & Navigation System
System Technology

The amalgamation of the five sub-areas is meant to provide adequate knowledge to prospective BMEE graduates to venture into the employment areas not only specific to marine but also to those pursuing a career in other broad areas of electrical and electronics services and management.

General requirements

Academic Documents (school certificates and transcripts). You may refer Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) guidelines for the level of programme you can apply according to your current school certificate.
First page of the passport
Student must complete 12 years of schooling and obtain general pass in their High School Certificate, A-levels or equivalent with min Grade C (60%) in Mathematics and one of the Science subjects (such as Physics, Chemistry or Biology – depending on the programme)
IELTS 5.0 or its equivalent
