Overview

The Visual Communication Design Department from Yasar University aims to train its students as international-level designers, following an interdisciplinary approach where art, design, and technology intertwine. Informed about changing design trends as the world changes, our students gain experience in various fields such as digital media, multimedia applications, graphic design, interaction design, game design, UI/UX design, virtual and augmented reality, video and film design, web and mobile application design, motion graphics and animation, information design, 3D modeling, corporate identity design, and advertising. They can progress in the field they want to specialize in with different course group options. While using the media center, image and sound studios, computers, multimedia and interaction laboratories, and through applied and theoretical courses, students become competent designers with intellectual knowledge who can create creative, attention-grabbing, functional, and aesthetic messages, ideas, and experiences.

Career opportunities

Increasing importance is being placed on corporate communication and presentation in today’s public and private sectors. As the demand increases for visual communication designers, so too does the number and range of job opportunities available. Graduates from this department have the opportunity to work as creative designers in different fields of media, in the communication and advertising sectors, and in such specialist areas as desktop publishing, corporate identity design, information graphics, web design, video production, film production, animation, three dimensional modelling and multimedia applications.
