Overview
You will study a variety of business subjects and develop a general understanding of the administrative, economic, legal and social environment within which business operates. In the Business programme at the Atlantic Technological University you will study the basics of business and get an insight into many business disciplines. There is a strong emphasis during the programme on practical business projects to develop the skills required by graduates in the workplace.
Students may apply to the Registrar for a Higher Certificate in Business after successful completion of two years of the course.
Career Opportunities
The programme prepares students for employment in a wide range of business areas in the accounting, financial services, marketing, human resource, agri-business and management functions of industrial, commercial and public enterprises.
Some graduates work with professionals in practice and proceed to membership of a relevant professional body.

- The minimum Leaving Certificate entry requirement for all Higher Certificates (Level 6) and ab initio Bachelor degrees (Level 7) is Grade O6/H7 or better in five Leaving Certificate subjects including Mathematics and English or Irish with a minimum of 160 points.
