The Economics program of the National University of Sciences and Technology provides students with a meaningful educational experience. It prepares them for employment in a wide variety of occupations and for further studies in economics, business law and related fields in schools across the world.
Economists can work as advisors to government and public sector organisations, industry, businesses, commercial institutions or investors. They research, analyse and interpret information about economic performance, tax and political decisions according to both national and international economic situations. They seek to determine the implications of their findings and forecast economic changes. They also analyse and solve complex problems by the application of economic analysis tools. Economists are also employed in the banking sector, management and economic consultancies, World Bank, United Nations, trade unions, political parties and other organisations.
