Overview

The Accounting (Hons) program from the Multimedia University provides students with the knowledge and skills required to become professional accountants.

The faculties provide students with exceptional understanding of accounting with adequate fundamentals and clear exposure on every subject. Accounting is the language of business, and accountants help business leaders make smart financial decisions.

MMU has signed MoUs where students may sit for professional exams (ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA, CIMA & CPA Australia) before graduation as well as enjoy fee waivers up to RM5,400. Furthermore we have tuition arrangements for ACCA, CPA Australia and ICAEW with external parties.

Career Prospects

Professional accountants that may specialise in taxation, forensic accounting and investigation, auditing, management accounting, financial accounting, public sector accounting, accounting information systems, academician, consultant, and shared services.

Matriculation/Foundation or equivalent with min CGPA 2.50; OR
STPM or equivalent with min Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in 2 subjects; OR
STAM with min Jayyid; OR

Diploma (MQF Level 4) with CGPA 2.50; OR
Diploma in Accounting (MQF Level 4) with CGPA 2.50 (2.01–2.49 subject to assessment); OR

Credit in Mathematics at SPM (or equivalent)
Pass in English at SPM OR MUET Band 3 (or equivalent)
