Overview
The purpose of this Accounting (Chartered Accountancy) qualification from University of Namibia aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and operational skills base in the following underlying core pillars of accounting: financial and management accounting; business science, professional ethics, accounting information systems; auditing; taxation and financial management relevant to the 4th and 5th Industrial Revolution.
This programme is the first step in the training of chartered accountants. To eventually qualify as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA), you first have to obtain both the BCom in Chartered Accountancy and an applicable BCom (Honours) degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting. Thereafter you will have to pass required board examinations prescribed by the Institute of Chartered Accountant (ICAN) of Namibia or Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).
