The Chemistry (Honours) programme at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman aims to allow students to understand, analyse, practice and evaluate the knowledge and laboratory skills of a range of chemistry topics. It provides string training in practical methods, data analysis and problem solving related to chemistry. The students are exposed and updated to the current trends in chemistry inclusive of Green Chemistry.

General requirements
- Admission to UTAR is on purely meritocratic basis. You are expected to satisfy the academic qualification and English Language requirement set by the University. Some programmes may have additional requirements such as the submission of a drawing portfolio, and an interview before the University decides on the admission.
- For admission into undergraduate programmes, the University will accept the applications from students with the standard list of foreign qualifications.
- For your information that the University has its minimum entry requirement (MER) for each qualification and each programme. Should you do not fulfill the MER, you will be required to undertake a one-year Foundation studies.
