These disciplines are grounded in the fundamental knowledge, tools, and techniques in translating concepts into artworks and products. Major disciplines under the Fine Arts program give students option to specialize either in (1) Advertising Arts, (2) Industrial Design, or (3) Painting.

Correspondingly, the Advertising Arts major at University of Santo Tomas provides the foundation of both the visual design and marketing aspects of advertising. The discipline introduces the student to both aesthetics and promotion in the form of commercial art.

In Advertising Arts, students learn not only drawing and rendering skills; but are also developed in the business side of advertising.

Moreover, the program also offers elective courses that provide an overview of allied areas in the discipline, such as illustration, fashion design, package design, merchandising, corporate identity, digital arts, animation, and photography.
