This programme’s contemporary learning process is designed to create well-rounded graduates with solid foundations through active learning, capstone experience, hands-on activities, internship, exchanges studies and service learning.

Students will build solid foundations in engineering through active learning, capstone experience, hands-on activities, internship, exchanges studies and service learning, which prepares them to pursue any engineering discipline in their studies.
Career Prospects
The majority of BEng(CE/EE/ElecE) graduates will work in the engineering sector, with other students serving the societies in the business, education, social and community sector. Some graduates will pursue further studies in Hong Kong or overseas.
- CE graduates can pursue the up-and-coming hot areas including Ambient Computing, Big Data Processing or Robotic & Autonomous Systems.
- EE students can pursue the following fields after graduation including Smart Power Systems, Modern Electric Transportation or Intelligent Built Environment.
- ElecE graduates can further develop their interest in Microelectronics and Integrated Circuits, Next Generation Communications or Data and AI Systems.
Programme Structure
Students choose one of three majors in Year 2:
Computer Engineering (CE): The CE programme prepares students for the multidisciplinary field in software design, computer architecture, and hardware-software integration.
Electrical Engineering (EE): The aim of this programme is to educate students to become professional electrical engineers, power engineers and building service engineers to meet the societal needs. The core of the programme equips students with sound knowledge in power system, electric drives, renewable energy, electric railway, electric vehicle, computer applications and building automation.
Electronic Engineering (ElecE): ElecE involves a myriad of applications in modern society ranging from communications and information technology, mobile technology, electronic commerce and FinTech, microelectronics and photonics, integrated circuits (IC), electronics for artificial intelligence (AI), data mining in big data, etc.
