Overview
Studies prepare for taking up a job as a: biotechnologist, microbiologist, biochemist, geneticist, biologist, laboratory analyst, laboratory technician, quality assurance specialist, specialist for drug registration in industrial research centres that use biotechnology processes, in research, control and diagnostic laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, plant breeding stations, institutions for public economics, environmental protection agencies and departments of natural resources management, etc.
Compulsory work placements:
- compulsory work placements (130 h) in industrial plants, laboratories, research centres or other institutions
- realization of the work placement is possible in institutions, like:
- modern and specialised laboratories of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Scientific Research of the Catholic University of Lublin
- companies in pharmaceutical and biotechnological branches or others cooperating with the faculty
- a detailed list of possible places is available from the placement supervisor
- it is possible to realize the work placement at the place of residence
There is the scientific circle of Biotechnology students from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. Members obtain experiences in research works and organizational skills.
Optional work placements:
- possibility of study visits in selected biotechnology companies
- complete offer available at the KUL’s Careers Centre – according to own predispositions, interests and labour market needs

- Foreign Secondary School Certificate or Polish 'Old Matura' Exam taken before 2005
- International Baccalaureate Diploma (issued in Geneva)
