Industry
There is a continuous and constructive cooperation with the furniture industry sector in Palestine in the implementation of a number of projects within the courses which are relevant to the design and furniture industry. The Faculty of Fine Arts organizes periodically Gallery Furniture designed by students of the decor department and implemented by furniture companies which enhances the role of the partnership between the university and local community companies.
Teaching and Learning
The Interior Design program of the An-Najah National University provides students the opportunity to develop their creative and artistic talent within a unique, explorative and highly design-focused course structure where the main emphasis is on international contemporary design.Throughout the programme, students are educated in design awareness, ability and critique, method construction and the technical characteristics required to advance a career in the vast and complex industry of interior design.
Career Opportunities
The career potential of an Interior Designer includes: the design of furniture systems; interior home decorating; interior public spaces dedicated to social, cultural, education, care and hospitality centers; urban furnishings, preparing fairs and temporary events; exhibit design. The Interior Designer can also propose to work as a general designer, CAD designer of interiors, or as a technician in the physical and virtual modeling of spaces.

General requirements
Admission to the Department of Applied Arts in Interior Design requires that prospective applicants meet the following two conditions:
- Applicants’ high school GPA (or grade point average) should be at least 60%.
- Prospective applicants should pass the Placement Test of the Department of Applied Arts in Interior Design.
- Once your selection is clear, you can contact the international relations office in order to process your application inside the university.
- Once you receive the admission confirmation letter you can start obtaining the visa and travel documents, and come to An-Najah.
- After finishing your study, you will be provided by certification documents in English language only, assigned with course/courses description that are needed to support your admission and credit transfer at your home institution.
