Overview
European School of Physiotherapy at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences is an intensive honours programme which leads to a bachelor’s degree.
Key features
The programme consists of three full years with a mix theory and practical courses, clinical internships and (research) projects. In each course, the knowledge, skills and/or attitude goals are connected to the patient cases in order for the student to integrate all aspects into their professional behaviour.

After completing the three-year European School of Physiotherapy programme, you will be awarded a bachelor’s degree Opleiding tot Fysiotherapeut with Honours. This is the so-called CROHO-name of the programme. You may use the Bachelor of Science title.
After completing the study programme, you are able to work independently and with a critical attitude as a professional practitioner. You will furthermore be capable of working at higher professional education level as a physiotherapist in the following 7 areas, determined by the Royal Dutch Association for Physical Therapy : Physical therapy activities, Communicating, Collaborating, Knowledge sharing and scientific research, Acting in the interest of society, Organizing and Professional conduct.

General requirements
- To be admitted to the ESP programme you need to have completed secondary education equivalent to the Dutch VWO level and strong written and verbal English communications skills. Due to the limited number of study places (120), a selection day is part of the admission procedure.
