The Bachelor of Information Technology (Professional Practice) has been developed in conjunction with IBM® to produce graduates who have an appreciation of the culture of work as an entrepreneur and business IT professional.
Graduates have a significant competitive advantage, having gained significant industry experience and an appreciation of the culture of work as an IT professional.
You will have a wide variety of career opportunities in small, medium and large businesses, industry and government.
Upon completion, you will graduate with one year's work experience, and the opportunity to apply for a position at IBM.
Those students undertaking the Enterprise Computing stream may also be in a position to apply for graduate positions with alternative corporate employers based on completed work experience summer placements.

International Students should enrol in the Bachelor of Information Technology, and then after one or more semesters with excellent results, the Faculty of Science and Technology may invite them to undertake an interview to transfer into the Bachelor of Information Technology (Professional Practice)."
- Overall Academic IELTS band score of 6.0, with no band less than 6.0, or equivalent
- Students must attend an interview with IBM and Federation University before acceptance into the program.
- Year 12 selection is based on successful interview, as well as meeting the minimum entry requirements for this program.
