Objectives of the Bachelor program in French Language at Birzeit University are:

To gain transferable skills to be used in graduate studies (Master’s and doctoral degrees) and in different careers.
To acquire linguistic competences (i.e. mastering discursive and communicative competences according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
To encourage autonomous learning, and allowing students to gain a rich understanding of other cultures such as Francophone societies (French-speaking societies) in the purpose to create an intercultural exchange.
To acquire methodological competences (i.e. mastering research tools and methods as well as fostering critical thinking)
