Overview

The department from Istanbul Aydin University strives to enable its students to fully use their intellectual potentials in comprehending the ideas, attitudes and movements in English Literature. To this end, a wide range of elective courses in undergraduate training leading to the degree of B.A. in English Language and Literature are offered. To facilitate the acquisition of life-long learning skills, the department accomodates students with comparative studies and present them with approaches that broaden their curiosity. On successful completion of the program, students will be able to demonstrate skills in the critical evaluation of literary texts, in writing persuasively in English language and in communicating their ideas in English confidently.

The Department of English Language and Literature expects to meet the highest standards in undergraduate teaching, and in job placement in both our own country and abroad.

  • 60 % marks (min) in High School
  • For English degree program applicants must have:

  • For Turkish degree program applicants must have: TOMER B 1 level * OR Turkish Proficiency Exam
