In 2005, the Department of Music from the Istanbul Bilgi University made the decision to broaden its borders beyond just Jazz and created an all-new department that stood at an equal distance from all areas of music, taking a fresh new breath and combining the fields of composition and sound technology.

Programme Structure

Students of the İstanbul Bilgi University Music Undergraduate Program’s;

  • are aware of and efficient at the most up to date sound technologies
  • are creating and developing in all areas where sound and technology meet
  • are not just users of computers, internet, and new media technology, but are also think about, develop new fields of interaction and performance
  • are efficient in every step of the process of music creation but also able to speak about those steps before the creation and after the performance
  • conceive and design the entire life as a performance space in short they are individuals who think with music

English Language Requirements

    The TOEFL iBT ® measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The test has four sections (reading, listening, speaking, and writing), each with a score range of 0-30, for a total score range of 0-120.

    The TOEFL®PBT is administered in a paper format and measures your ability to use and understand English in a classroom setting at the college or university level. It accurately measures how well you can listen, read and write in English while performing academic tasks.

  • Photocopy of high school diploma (with the official transcript)
  • All High school Transcripts/Grades (last 4 high school years)

  • Blue Card and Certificate of Identity Register Copy
  • If available, a record of scores for one English Language Competency Examinations (for example TOEFL or Cambridge Certificate)
