Overview

You will take a combination of compulsory and optional modules, which are taught in weekly seminars and combine traditional lecture-style content delivery with small group discussions, case-studies and presentations.

In your ﬁrst year of the English with Creative Writing (Hons) programme of The University Of Nottingham Malaysia, you can expect around 12 scheduled contact hours a week, and you will spend a significant amount of time each week in independent study preparing for classes and assignments. Your private study is supported by Moodle, our virtual learning environment, comprehensive core reading lists and the resources of the library. Staff offer individual and small group consultations and encourage you to seek their advice and feedback on your work.

Your progress is assessed each semester using a combination of individual research-based essays, portfolios, exams, oral presentations and occasionally group work.
