In addition, the special Psychology programme structure at Sigmund Freud University offers several advantages:

- A university entrance qualification, such as an Austrian secondary school leaving certificate (Matura), an Austrian vocational certificate (Berufsreifeprüfung), or a foreign equivalent, such as a High School Diploma.
- An information talk and entrance interview will take place to see whether the requirements for the study course are met.
- The interview is designed to familiarise applicants with the requirements of the degree programme, as well as to explore the applicant’s personality and assess his/her aptitude for the programme and the profession.
