Throughout the Business Administration degree offered at University of Nicosia, students are trained to think effectively about business as a whole and to appreciate the interdependence of the various functions of business activities.
The business administration program aims to:
  • To provide students with a knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of the operation of the various types of business organizations.
  • Stimulate students to develop an understanding of the role of business activities in the modern world.
  • Stimulate students to develop an awareness of the changing and integrated nature of business problems and an ability to explore and deal with these problems.
  • To develop in students the skill of analysis, synthesis and evaluation in the context of business decisions.

The program offers students the necessary tools and skills in securing a position in both the profit and non profit sector. More specifically, upon completion of the degree graduates can either pursue a professional career or apply for postgraduate studies.

They could apply for positions in management, accounting, marketing, human resource and business communication.     The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.     The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading).     The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).

Academic Requirements

The general admission requirement for entry to an undergraduate programme of study is a High School Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification. Some programmes may have additional requirements in which case they are specified separately under the relevant programme details.

Regular Academic Admission

Regular admission to academic programmes requires a High School Leaving Certificate or its equivalent. ‘A’ levels are considered to be a form of equivalent qualification. (Depending on the nature of the ‘A’ levels obtained and the programme for which the student applies, credits within the programme may be awarded up to a maximum of 12 credits).

In addition to a strong academic record, we take into account the student’s extracurricular involvement, leadership skills, and other relevant background information.

English Language Proficiency
English is the language of instruction at the University of Nicosia. All students are required to take the English Placement Test (EPT) before registering for classes. The EPT may show that some students will need to register for non-credit English classes before being able to register for their academic programme of study.
Students with the following English qualifications will register directly for their academic programme of study:

  • Computer-based TOEFL: 183 and above
  • Internet-based TOEFL: 65 and above
  • IELTS: 5.5 and above
