Overview

The Foundation Studies: Arts Standard Plus Program at University of New South Wales is a pre-univeristy program for students who have completed year 11 with good general results but need support in building English and critical thinking skills for University.

The programme

Our teaching style follows university practice with lectures and tutorials. Most tutorial classes have about 18 students, so you will receive the attention you need to succeed. You will also participate in class activities which help develop your presentation skills and give you greater confidence in speaking English.

Where students do not have their final results from their Year 11 or Year 12 studies, forecast results are accepted in most cases.

Every application we receive is carefully considered. We will make an offer to students whose school results indicate a good preparation for UNSW Foundation Studies.

To be eligible for entry, students must be at least 16 years of age at the time they commence a UNSW Foundation Studies program.

Australian citizens and permanent residents are welcome to apply for all UNSW Foundation Studies Programs.
