The aim of creating solutions for the objects that serve for the human being forms the facts of Industrial Design. All the equipment of personal use such as; office, education products, public transportation, urban furniture etc. is the major fields of an Industrial Designer.

The programme

Within this general description, the objective of Department of Industrial Design is; to produce the highly qualified designers for the needs of present day society. The academic program therefore involves design studies in a variety of fields so as to meet the ever-changing demands of industry. The studies comprise the design of all the materials, tools, furniture etc. related to the fields of production and consumption. The academic program offered at Yeditepe University is designed in such a way as to enable the students to meet the challenges of the present day as well as the future.
