The School of Biomedical Sciences is one of the Schools that make up the College of Health Sciences. The School is composed of 9 departments namely; the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, Immunology and Clinical Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Illustration, Biochemistry and Pharmacology respectively. Each of these departments is unique in its own set up as evidenced in the way it carries out Research, Teaching and Training of students.

The School prides itself in training and producing quality students who are absorbed in different job markets. Important to note is Bachelor of Cytotechnology whose products screen cancer.2017 was an incredible year for the School. A lot was achieved as evidenced in these key areas.

Pay the Fee of US$75 or equivalent in UGX using the payment Procedure in the right panel.

Applicants with academic documents prescribed in other languages other than English should be submitted to the School of Languages, Makerere University for translation into English.
Diploma/Degree holder’s applicants MUST attach certified photocopies of their academic transcripts issued by the awarding institutions when filling the online application.

Applicants from countries where the language of instruction is not English are required to bring evidence of proficiency of English. However, Makerere University (School of Languages) conducts proficiency tests on request.
International students MUST present insurance certificates from a reputable insurance firm at the time of admission. So, the insurance firm should cater for any eventuality not Makerere University.
