Overview
The Agriculture programme from Royal University of Bhutan is designed with double exit and double entry possibilities. The first two years of the programme is skill based, and prepares students to exit with a two year Diploma certificate.
On completion of the first two years, those students capable of and wishing to pursue Bachelors programme will continue further for two more years and exit with Bachelor degree. Diploma graduates who have worked and gathered at least two years of field experience and wishing to enhance their profession career have the possibility to enter at the beginning of year 3 to obtain a Bachelor degree.
Objectives
The main aim of the Diploma and BSc Agriculture programme is to contribute to the socioeconomic development by creating a larger critical mass of qualified professionals in the field of agriculture and to advance the country’s intellectual and academic environment. Graduates are equipped with knowledge and skills to enhance food production, food security, and manage agriculture programmes that contribute to the sustainable socioeconomic development of a nation.Programme Structure
