The graduates of the Visual Communication program from American University of Sharjah (AUS) work within various fields of the creative industry. They are graphic designers, art and creative directors in advertising agencies, developing and overseeing the development of visual solutions such as brand identity, information graphics, posters, brochures, print collateral, web design, and motion graphics. Having learned about the business and creative aspects of running a design firm, many choose to start their own creative companies and thrive in local and regional markets, setting and influencing new trends and serving as leaders within creative industry.

Programme Structure
- Your freshman experience will begin with a one-year Foundations Program, which all CAAD students must complete before advancing into their major field of study.
- Providing an essential and highly beneficial transition from high-school to a college experience, you will be introduced to conceptual and critical thinking skills, and learn how to apply the specific terminology we use within creative disciplines .
- You will also gain a basic understanding of design principles, while nurturing positive and productive working habits and self-discipline.
- As a CAAD student, you will benefit from a highly interactive approach to learning as our outstanding faculty work alongside you to give you a practical knowledge of illustration, photography, printmaking, image making, time-based media, web design and typography, along with the opportunity to choose to concentrate on one or more of these areas as part of your studies.

General requirements
- Must be awarded the full IB Diploma with six subjects (excluding Islamic Education) with at least three in the higher level, and attain a minimum score of 24 points.
- Applicants who were not awarded the IB Diploma but received the IB certificate can apply and will be assessed based on the provided high school credentials.
