Overview
Foundation science courses are a focus in the early stages of the degree and include chemistry, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, statistics and psychology. Building on this knowledge base, you will study anatomy, physiology and pathology, alongside the exercise science sub-disciplines of biomechanics, motor control and exercise psychology.
The objective is to gain an integrated understanding of human function in health and disease, and how this is influenced by physical exercise. Elective courses allow students to pursue their areas of interest and career specialisation. These include cardiopulmonary conditions, metabolic conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, neuromuscular conditions, nutrition, mental health and rehabilitation biomechanics.
