Overview

Biomedical Engineering Objectives at University of Malaya beginning from the late 1990s to early 2000 were challenging times where various changes had occurred in the education system, be it for better or for worse.

Key facts

The original intake of 1997 to 1999 (three batches) were taken straight from form 5 where they had to study one year of preparatory course and three years of undergraduate studies. The 2000 and 2001 intake (two batches) on the other hand had to study 4 years on top of the foundation year. The 2002 intake was the first batch of students from the STPM / matriculation intake which is still maintained to this day.
