During the Interior Architecture and Furniture Design programme of Royal Academy of Art, The Haguee students will develop skills, knowledge and competences by way of assignments that run parallel to the professional design practice.

After the first year, you will choose to specialise in either Interior Architecture or Furniture Design while working across four domains: Studio, Media & Materials, Professional Practice, and Knowledge. During your studies, you will develop an independent mentality, a reflective design attitude and empathetic capacity. You will leave the KABK as a versatile designer who can work in different contexts and with different dimensions.

The programme covers the full width of the spatial domain by focusing on spatial conditions that determine how we experience our daily living environment. Each year, a central theme is chosen that will inspire the activities of the department. Some examples of these academic year's themes are: "Shrinkage-Pruning-Growth", "(Dis)connect/Always on", "Gender", "The Politics and Poetics of Landscape" , "Rethinking Bauhaus" and "Gardening Earth".
