Overview
UToledo’s College of Engineering is one of only eight engineering colleges in the country to require co-ops for all engineering students. Our graduates are in high demand worldwide thanks to this practical design experience.
Civil engineers make people’s lives healthier, safer and more sustainable. They design, construct and maintain infrastructure, such as shelter, transportation and clean air and water facilities. Graduates of the Civil Engineering program of The University of Toledo are in high demand as the country’s existing facilities age.
Classes in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering emphasize sustainability and green design principles. Our program focuses on four fields: environmental, geotechnical, structural and transportation.
Civil Engineering Bachelor's Degree Highlights
- Unique co-op experience. Build your skills, connections and resume by spending three semesters working in paid civil engineering co-op positions. The College of Engineering offers co-op opportunities across the United States and in 34 countries.
