  • Even though computer engineering is a relatively young branch of engineering that was born in late-40’s with the invention of computers, it has matured rapidly in the world and in Turkey.
  • Our curriculum, which was prepared according to international accreditation standards CSAC/CSAB and ABET, aims at teaching basic sciences, engineering and computer sciences. The curriculum is designed to provide students with expertise in software or hardware areas of their choice. With the technical elective courses in the fourth year, the students are equipped with contemporary tools and techniques of modern industry, and are prepared for graduate studies in their chosen fields.

Programme Structure

The undergraduate curriculum includes theoretical topics such as programming languages, operating systems, computer networks, data structures, as well as applied technological studies in software and hardware. Some of these topics are:

  • Information technologies
  • Internet/web design techniques and software tools,
  • Computer networks and communication protocols,
  • Microprocessor hardware and software,
  • Distributed, parallel hardware and software,
  • 3-D graphic applications and standards,
  • Robotics, automation,
  • Computer aided design,
  • Software engineering, CASE tools,
  • Functional languages and applications.
In addition, students can select courses from a spectrum of topics reflecting emerging technologies and state of the art tools.

General Requirements

  • a)Minimum 50 standard points in AYÖS 2016 or AYÖS 2017 (Ankara University Examination For Foreign Students),
  • b)Scores between 1-4 in ABITUR,
  • c)An international baccalaureate diploma degree and minimum 30 points,
  • d)Minimum 1100 points in total and minimum 650 points in the math section of SAT
  • e)A score of minimum 24 in ACT,
  • f)GCE and Cambridge International AL and AS Levels Qualifications
