Overview
Students will read their entire CORE and some of their breadth courses in Year 1. Progressing to Year 2, they have the option of selecting electives in tracks they wish to specialise in. In semester 2 of year 2, students have the option of going abroad as part of the overseas exchange programme experience and some of these electives can be taken in the host/partner universities.
When students return in Year 3, they do track specialisations and select CORE-electives which are part of the track fulfilment. These CORE-electives are a necessary part of the curriculum as students are expected to complete these courses before they embark on their Professional Internship.
The fourth year students will embark on their final year projects which are considered capstone projects. The project is done over 2 semesters and students work in teams of 4. At the end of the project, students will submit reports and do presentations. Many of these projects that are submitted are of the highest quality and have received many accolades.
Communication Studies students also have second major and minor specialization possibilities with various programmes in the University.
