Overview
The following teaching aims are of particular importance to the Tourism program of Rey Juan Carlos University:
- to meet current training needs, enabling students to acquire the necessary decision-making skills for today's tourism sector
- to offer essential training at a tertiary level in order to prepare students to specialize in the skills and management capabilities for running companies and institutions in the tourism sector.
- to study the essentials for developing a competitive advantage for tourism products and destinations
- to produce specialists taking into account both the management of individual companies and also the sector as a whole, with particular attention being paid to natural and cultural resources
- to standardize the syllabus in an attempt to avoid an excess of fragmentation as a result of too many study areas
- to make it easier to develop lines of research which include different techniques
Where will I be qualified to work upon graduation?
In the many and varied tourism-related jobs for which a medium-high professional profile is required (operations management and middle management). In order to work in an executive role, students will need to study a Masters in Tourism.

- Access to official degrees requires holding a high school diploma or equivalent and passing the exam referred to in Article 42 of the Organic Law 6/2001 of Universities, modified in the Law 4/2007 (12 April), taking into account other mechanisms of access foreseen in existing regulations.

- Accreditation with Baccalaureate Modality issued by UNED
- If applicable, Voluntary Phase card / s: With secure verification code or electronic signature. Failing that, with the stamp and signature of the issuing body
