Overview

The Education Secondary program at the University of Alberta is designed for students who already hold an approved degree. You can choose to specialize in either Elementary or Secondary Education. Getting that second degree is as easy as 1-2-3.

Key Facts

The length of the After Degree program will vary depending on the courses you present at the time of admission; all students will complete two student teaching experiences for a total of 14 weeks. The program can be taken on campus at the University of Alberta or as part of a collaborative (off-campus) program.

Upon completion of the After Degree program, graduates are eligible for teacher certification in Alberta.
