By learning to think anthropologically, Anthropology - Sociocultural graduates of Brigham Young University will be prepared to analyze and understand human activity, sociality, and thought. Graduates will be able to uncover and explain the real conditions and social contexts of human problems and social systems of organization including economy, kinship, law, religion.

Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies
The Department of World Languages and Cultures is currently revising the curriculum for Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies at the University of Utah, and we look forward to declaring students beginning in Fall 2020. Students majoring or minoring in Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies (CLCS) compare multiple literatures and cultures within the framework of a single degree.
World Languages and Cultures
The World Languages and Cultures major at University of Utah allows students to explore themes across cultures and time periods, compare national literatures and cultures, and analyze diverse types of texts (literary, visual, musical, etc.). The major has seven emphases—Arabic, Italian, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Comparative Literature, and Cultural Studies.
