Description

The University at Albany Global Excellence Scholarships are awarded to incoming international students based on academic achievement as well as other qualifications, as determined by the admissions committee.

Benefits

The maximum scholarship award is $20,500 per year for first-year (freshmen) applicants, for a potential total of $82,000 over four years. 

Scholarships are also available for select transfer students, with the maximum award being $9,500.

Eligibility

  • These scholarships are renewable, provided the student maintains a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and remains continuously enrolled as a full-time student at UAlbany paying out-of-state tuition.
  • All applicants must submit the application fee at the time of application.

Apply using either the State University of New York (SUNY) Application or the Common Application. Note: If you apply after May 1, you must use the SUNY Application.

All first-year (freshmen) applicants must also complete the 250- to 500-word essay component of either the Common Application or the SUNY Supplemental Application.
