Description

Sandra J. Lobbestael endowed three scholarships at Eastern Michigan University – one each in the Chemistry Department (1988), Mathematics Department (1989), and the College of Business (1990). As an Eastern Michigan University undergraduate (1962-1966), she majored in chemistry and mathematics.

After graduate work at Vassar College, she returned to the area and worked as a chemist at Parke-Davis while earning an MBA (1985) in the EMU College of Business. She vowed to establish a scholarship in each department from which she received a degree that was the basis for her career success.

  • The Lobbestael Scholarship traditionally goes toa top chemistry major with 3.00 or better GPA who has completed at least four lecture courses by the semester prior to the award.
