Description

These scholarships are provided by our alumni volunteers. There are 3 categories of scholarships:

(1) Geographic - for students who have graduated from high schools in a participating network area. Not all regions of the United States provide scholarships.

(2) Corporate - Coca-Cola, Southern Company, and AT&T provide scholarships to the children or grandchildren of current employees or those who retired from the corporation.

(3) Affinity - the GT Black Alumni Organization provides scholarships to incoming African American students.

Benefits

The value of the scholarship differs depending on which requirements are met.

Eligibility

  • To learn if you are eligible for one of our scholarships, please check your email communications from the Admission Office and your Buzz Portal after you have received your acceptance status. The deadline to opt in to be eligible is February 1. There will be instructions on how you may opt in to be considered for a scholarship within your email communications.
  • If you live in a geographic region which provides a scholarship, you will be notified. If you do not live in a geographic area, you will not see that option available to you. Your home zip code you provided on your Georgia Tech application determines your eligibility.
  • Every student will receive a default option for the corporate scholarship, but you determine your eligibility based on your family connection.
  • If you selected "Black/African American" on your Georgia Tech application, you will be notified about the GT Black Alumni Organization (GTBAO) scholarship.
