Description
Charles Sturt University offers these CSU Refugee and Asylum Seeker Scholarships to support students from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds to undertake tertiary education at CSU for the length of their undergraduate degree.
Benefits
The scholarship consists of a 100% tuition fee waiver.
Eligibility
- The university will award a 100 per cent tuition fee scholarship for students undertaking undergraduate degree studies.
To be eligible for consideration, the applicants must hold :
- Bridging visa (BVA).
- Bridging visa (BVE).
- Temporary Protection visa subclass 785.
- Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV).
- Other future temporary refugee visa subclasses as determined by the Australian Government.
The scholarship is dependent upon the recipient's visa status and will be reviewed annually.
- The recipient must provide the University with copies of their updated visa status within twelve (12) working days of the previous visa expiring.
- In order to apply for this scholarship, you must have a current eligible course application with Charles Sturt (course types and campuses listed above).
- In order to receive this scholarship, you must must have accepted an unconditional offer with Charles Sturt and be enrolled to study in Session 1 beyond the first census date of the academic year.
- Scholarship payments are dependent upon the recipient maintaining a GPA of 4.0 or above
- The scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered; acceptance of the scholarship offer cannot be deferred.
- The scholarship recipient will not be entitled to continue receiving payments if they become eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place and qualify to defer their fees.

Financial documentation such as a Centrelink income statement or your last 3 payslips.
Up to date resume.
An essay, research project proposal or reference letters may be requested.
If your selection criteria involves Local Government Areas (LGA), please supply ONE of the following: electricity bill, phone bill, rates notice, school record.
