Rotary Club of Christchurch Blackgrove Scholarship

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Have left secondary school not more than two years prior to commencing the first year of full-time study at the University of Canterbury; and
• Have resided continuously in the Canterbury regional council area for at least 12 months immediately preceding the closing date for applications, or preceding the start of a gap year.
• Preference will be given to applicants who have been educated within the Christchurch City territorial authority.

Selection will be based on:

• Challenges faced in entering tertiary education, such as financial difficulty, or other personal circumstances; and
• Academic achievement; and
• The likelihood of successful completion of the chosen programme of study.
• Emphasis will be put on financial difficulty facing the applicant.

Scholarship requirements
