Description
This scholarship was established by a generous donation from Rosemary Airey 1955, in order to support students from the rest of the UK in their studies at St Andrews.
The scholarship forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship scheme, established in 2004 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews.
Benefits
£1,000 paid as maintenance but can be used towards University accommodation fees.
Maintenance is paid in ten monthly instalments directly to your bank account (BACS) from September to May, with a double payment in February.
Where maintenance is payable on this award you can choose to off-set all or part of your maintenance towards University accommodation during matriculation (registration).
Eligibility
- Students applying to the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) for payment of fees are ineligible.
- Selection is based on financial need and donor-specific criteria.
- Please note that as the Wardlaw scholarships are donor-funded, core personal details may be passed to the benefactors of your scholarship with your permission. This permission is requested in the application form. If you select that you do not wish to be considered for donor funding, you will only be considered for the St Andrews Access Award.
