Description

The scholarship is intended for new UK undergraduate students from lower-income households beginning an eligible full-time programme in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Science or School of Biosciences.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Edward and Margaret Leafe Scholarship Fund, you must:

  • Be enrolling for the first year of a full-time 5 or 6 year undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Science at the University of Nottingham (UK Campus), this being your year of entry to the university

OR

  • Be enrolling for the first year of a full-time 3 or 4 year BSc or MSci course in the School of Biosciences at the University of Nottingham (UK campus), this being your year of entry to the university.  

You must also:

  • Have a household income between £0-£35,000.
  • Not have studied for an undergraduate degree before starting at Nottingham.
  • Have home funding status.
  • Not be receiving external sponsorship for your course e.g. from industry/employers (University Core bursaries and Government grants do not affect your eligibility).
  • Have had their household income assessed for your statutory government support and consented to share this information with the university.
