Description
The scholarship is intended for new UK undergraduate students from lower-income households beginning an eligible full-time programme in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Science or School of Biosciences.
Benefits
Financial support throughout the recipient’s undergraduate course.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Edward and Margaret Leafe Scholarship Fund, you must:
- Be enrolling for the first year of a full-time 5 or 6 year undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Science at the University of Nottingham (UK Campus), this being your year of entry to the university
OR
- Be enrolling for the first year of a full-time 3 or 4 year BSc or MSci course in the School of Biosciences at the University of Nottingham (UK campus), this being your year of entry to the university.
You must also:
- Have a household income between £0-£35,000.
- Not have studied for an undergraduate degree before starting at Nottingham.
- Have home funding status.
- Not be receiving external sponsorship for your course e.g. from industry/employers (University Core bursaries and Government grants do not affect your eligibility).
- Have had their household income assessed for your statutory government support and consented to share this information with the university.
