Description
You may be eligible for an award towards your first year accommodation fees if you live outside the TS postcode and are joining the first year of an eligible course.
Benefits
The Accommodation Award for the School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technology students offers £2,000 towards your first year accommodation fees.
Eligibility
To apply for one of these scholarships you must:
- be domiciled in the UK or Ireland, eligible to pay the home fee rate and live outside of the TS postcode area
- have applied, and have accepted an offer for one of the Teesside University main campus courses
- accept your course offer and apply for accommodation by 30 August and go on to enrol on your course.
You are given 2 weeks after being offered your accommodation to accept and pay a deposit. At this point, the University will confirm that you will receive the accommodation award based on meeting criteria above.You are not eligible if:
- you are an applicant applying for Year 0, direct second year entry or for a top-up degree
- following accepting your offer, you subsequently transfer onto another course at Teesside University
- you withdraw from your course during your studies- you will no longer be eligible to remain in University accommodation and your accommodation discount will end on the date you withdraw
- you defer your start date to a future year of entry
- you’re applying to study a Teesside University online learning course or a degree apprenticeship.

You do not need to apply. You are sent a link to apply for accommodation once you accept your offer to study at Teesside University. When you enrol on an eligible course, your discount is automatically applied to your invoice.
Awards are made at the discretion of the Scholarships Panel, who may consider your financial background, prior academic performance, as well as other information provided through your application and at any subsequent interview.
