Description

The scholarship is available to first-year undergraduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Science and Engineering or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and meet the residency requirements.

Eligibility

  • You must have enrolled and be in the first year of your course in either the Faculty of Science and Engineering or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • You must be a permanent resident in the City of London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Newham or the London Borough of Hackney and have lived there for at least three years or have attended the Drapers' Academy Sixth Form.
  • You must have been assessed by Student Finance England (SFE) as having a household income of £42,875 a year or less. You do not need to take any loans if you do not wish to do so but you must ensure that you request a full income assessment by SFE when you apply for your student finance so that we can verify your household income figure.
