Description

The scholarship is funded by the Capri Holdings Foundation to improve access to higher education and increase diversity within the fashion industry. It is available to students enrolling on eligible full-time undergraduate courses in the Manchester Fashion Institute.

Successful applicants will also take part in a three-year mentoring programme delivered by professionals from Capri Holdings' luxury fashion brands.

Benefits

Value: £4,000 towards tuition fees and £10,000 living bursary per year for three years, for six undergraduate students.

Eligibility

You must:

  • Be from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background.

Hold a firm offer to study a new full-time course in the academic year, excluding foundation year and distance learning, in on one of the following courses:

  • BA (Hons) Fashion
  • BA (Hons) Fashion Art Direction
  • BSc (Hons) Fashion Business and Management
  • BSc (Hons) Fashion Business Management with AI
  • BSc (Hons) Fashion Buying and Merchandising
  • BA (Hons) Fashion Communication
  • BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Technology
  • BSc (Hons) Fashion Marketing

Have a household income of £42,875 or less. We’ll check this against your Student Finance application. Please contact us if you will not be applying to Student Finance for a maintenance loan.

  • Be a UK student - English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish - paying the standard full-time fees, and have a UK Student Support Number.
  • Pay for your course yourself, including through a student loan or a payment from your parents. Your course fees must not be paid by a business, charity or other organisation.
