Description

Baillie Gifford Scholarship: STEM Scholarship for Women are scholarships for students who identify as female, studying one of the specified STEM degrees.

Benefits

Scholarship awards of up to £1,500. Awards are paid in two instalments, one per academic term.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be studying in 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of ONE of the following degrees:
    • BSc (Hons) Computer Games Application Development.
    • BSc (Hons) Computer Games Technology.
    • BSc (Hons) Computing.
    • BSc (Hons) Ethical Hacking.
    • BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Cybersecurity.
    • BEng Civil and Environmental Engineering.
    • BSc (Hons) Food and Consumer Science.
    • BSc (Hons) Forensic Sciences.
    • BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science.
  • Identify as female.
  • Be able to demonstrate a financial need for support in the application form.
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong intent to have a career in their chosen subject area when they graduate.
  • Be willing to meet the award conditions set out below. 
  • Be studying at the Abertay campus in Dundee.

Letter of Student Support Award (i.e. SAAS award letter for 25-26).
