Description
This UAB-sponsored scholarship is for entering freshmen who are selected and certified by the officials of Impact Alabama as having completed the requirements of the SpeakFirst initiative.
Benefits
This four-year award guarantees that the cost of tuition and academic fees (up to 15 credit hours per semester for fall and spring only) will be met with gift aid. Up to four awards may be made each year.
Eligibility
- To receive this award, Impact Alabama's candidates must be admitted to UAB for the upcoming fall semester by March 1 of their senior year in high school with a minimum ACT score of 20 and a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Students must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents to receive this award.
