Description
The Jane Addams Democracy Endowed Scholarship in Political Science provides scholarship support to students pursuing Political Science as their primary major in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at UAB.
Benefits
The fund will provide support to students based on financial need and merit. The scholarship is an annual award.
Eligibility
- Preference will be given to scholarship applicants who are first generation college students (neither parent graduated college). Applicants must have earned at least an overall 3.0 grade point average in coursework completed prior to the time of application.
- Recipients are eligible to apply for the award in subsequent years as long as they continue to meet the requirements.
- They must also maintain Political Science as their primary major.
- Applicants must be enrolled the Fall semester following the awarding of the scholarship.
