Description
The Out-of-State Supplemental Scholarship is a renewable scholarship based on the achievements of entering freshmen who are out-of-state residents.
Benefits
Supplemental scholarships are competitive awards that provide up to $5,000 annually. They are not guaranteed to all applicants.
Eligibility
- Must be a senior in high school
- Must be admitted to UAB for the upcoming summer or fall semester by March 1
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or onshore student on select visa types
- Must be receiving an out-of-state freshman merit scholarship
- Please note: Students who qualify for in-state tuition due to military benefits, participation in the Academic Common Market, or submission and approval of an Application for Residency Reclassification are not eligible to receive the Out-of-State Supplemental Scholarship.
